The following information is provided to clarify the experience and status of the Gillespie Field Young Eagle pilots.
All the young eagle pilots are current FAA certificated pilots holding private, commercial or airline transport certificates. Most are instrument rated and many are certificated flight instructors.
The participating aircraft are all FAA certified aircraft. The aircraft are all well maintained and exceed the FAA standards for routine maintenance.
